      Health, Outreach, Promotion, and Education (H.O.P.E.) is a division of Rutgers Student Health that aims to advance health and wellness at Rutgers University through community engagement. H.O.P.E comprises peer educators, outreach, training, and curriculums to promote health to students.Through a semester-long class, I was trained to lead workshops and discussions on issues students become increasingly exposed to at a university. In addition, I inform students about resources they can utilize to make responsible decisions during potentially dangerous situations surrounding the exposure and consumption of alcohol and other drugs. I provide students with tools, including safety tips, refusal skills, on-campus resources, and a safe space for them to share their experiences and learn.o Taught workshops to educate and promote safe decision-making and consumption of alcohol and other drugs to university studentso involved in projects such as Narcan distribution on campus and the CRASH grant o Increased students' awareness of resources specific to safe sex, STDs, mental health, and other campus services Show less
