      The mission of this project was to develop an appointment booking and case notes management system. This system was geared towards providing a better streamlining service to aid the coordination and communication between members of staff where appointments and assessments are concerned. The system was expected to have the capability of recording case notes for customers (students) in an automated manner. The customers who come to the student services requiring help or advice will contact student services administration in one of three ways. Via a dedicated WEB site, by phone or in person. First contact with the customer, the advisor is required to make an assessment of their needs. Consequently, a WEB page needs to be developed to cater for customers wishing to make contact online. A user interface needs to be built to be operated by an administrator catering for customers wishing to make contact by telephone or in person.Description of duties and responsibilities:• I worked closely with the UWE student services IT strategic management team to come out with a solution that can be implemented by all departments across the university.• I was also asked to coordinate and simplify all the requirements from different departments while at the same time developing effective working relationships and ongoing management processes for the project. • It was also my responsibility to define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project, and manage their development and delivery. • It was my responsibility to ensure that the project is delivered within budget and build in contingencies into the project plan. • It was also my duty to ensure that projects meet industry leading quality standards. • Part of my duty was to manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project. • I also conducted project presentations and compiled reports.
