If the service quality is not effective, organizations may lose key… Show more In this modern era, established organizations are in a run to complete business transactions in less time, saving money and catering to customer satisfaction. Hence they are more interested in implementing effective software that cater their needs. The importance lies in the quality of the service received after the software has been implemented. The greater the quality of the service, greater will be the customer satisfaction. If the service quality is not effective, organizations may lose key accounts. The importance of service quality can be understood from the yearly turnover from IT services and that’s about three lakh crore rupees, according to a study by CyberMedia's Dataquest Research.An organization monitors the effectiveness, accuracy and quality of the implementation by monitoring the tickets/ issues raised by the business users. One of the quality method that can be used here is the statistical control chart, also called Shewart Charts or Process Behavior Charts. By using Control charts, the support function can monitor the issues/ tickets that comes and plot it against time. The management can fix a SLA, that’s usually the mean of the total time being taken to resolve an issue, based on the past data and is considered as the control limit (CL). There will be upper control limit (UCL) and lower control limit (LCL) to ensure that the time taken to resolve an issue is under the limit and if the time exceeds for a particular issue, that will treated as a priority.
