I worked with Disease Case Reports coming from PA-NEDSS (Pennsylvania National Electronic Disease Surveillance System) to the health department Communicable Disease Management System (CDMS). Along with the hepatitis investigators, I called affected patients as well as providers all over the city to record standard surveillance data and request medical and test information, as well as provide public health outreach information and guide affected populations about finding necessary care and information. I participated in other aspects of health department work such as weekly progress meeting with the disease investigations team and research club. Show less

    • Temple Health – Temple University Health System

      Nov 2017 - Oct 2021

For the research team of Dr. Laura Goetzl- professor and vice chair for research in the department of obstetrics and gynecology, division of maternal fetal medicine at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, I coordinated all aspects of NIH funded research as well as study creation and maintenance through the Institutional Review Board (IRB) ethics board. I was directly responsible for traveling to multiple clinical locations and enrolling subjects in clinical studies, as well as participating in processing of biological specimens in lab settings for supporting translational research work which led to peer reviewed publications. Show less Under the auspices of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania funded program, the Temple/Wedge Center of Excellence (1 of 45 in Pennsylvania) which offered evaluation by experts in high-risk pregnancy and psychiatry, access to drug treatment, counseling, and specialized prenatal consultation, I worked directly with the Medical Director as the Program Manager of the Center. My role was to support the identification of patients with substance use disorder and coordination of their transition to treatment in our Center. I worked with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient care, advocacy such as legal processes with the Department of Health and Human Services, and collaboration and communication with community stakeholders related to the project. I worked closely with other centers and managed care organizations (MCOs) and attended state-level meetings to present our work. I was involved in the monthly evaluation and reporting of program progress/data reporting and suggestions for program improvement. Show less
