    • Sina Hospital

      Feb 2019 - Feb 2020
      Medical Laboratory Technician

During my employment at Sina Hospital, I played a role in the healthcare system as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist. Responsible for collecting patient samples and ensuring the integrity of diagnostic specimens while closely monitoring correct labeling. My expertise extended to conducting diverse biochemistry and hematology tests, including FBS, Urea, CBC, and PT/PTT, using automated testing equipment. With expertise in analyzing and understanding data, I detected alterations in the composition of clinical samples that suggest medical or physiological disorders. Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, I contributed to patient care coordination based on laboratory findings. Operating at the intersection of precision and collaboration, I am passionate about making meaningful contributions to the field of clinical diagnostics. Show less

      Laboratory Assistant

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the responsibility of conducting tests on patients. In this challenging time, I developed valuable skills such as maintaining composure in critical situations, working effectively in a team, and fostering team spirit. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to assist people during those circumstances.

      Apr 2022 - Aug 2022
      English Tutor

I had the privilege of being a children's language teacher, and it has been one of my most rewarding experiences. As a language instructor for young learners, I not only cultivated their language skills but also developed my own patience and effective teaching techniques. Learning the art of imparting knowledge and witnessing the growth of my students has been truly fulfilling. I'm excited to bring this valuable expertise to future endeavours.

      Mar 2023 - now
      Associate Researcher

My recent project focused on exploring the depths of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) through an intensive investigation into intronic single nucleotide variants nestled within the MYBPC3 gene. While most of the research in HCM has historically focused on coding regions of genes, such as exons, recent studies have highlighted the importance of non-coding regions, including introns. Using methodologies such as qPCR, PCR-RFLP, and Sanger sequencing, I precisely identified targeted intronic variants while leveraging advanced bioinformatic tools like Mutation Surveyor, Human Splicing Finder, and SpliceAI to facilitate the prediction of their functional impacts. Validating these discoveries involved databases like Ensembl and ClinVar, which not only bolstered the reliability of my results but also enhanced diagnostic accuracy and refined our comprehension of the involvement of MYBPC3 in HCM.
