      Designed, established, and recruited this brand-new team to Whitbread to deliver Business Ownership of the Single Customer View, Adobe Campaign and B2B Dynamics implementations, plus Stewardship of Customer Data to support GDPR, CRM and Analytics requirements. The team also managed the longer term strategic development of the solutions in our scope.Early in the role we launched our Single Customer View implementation utilising a cloud-based Azure Cosmos DB platform and bespoke designed algorithms for managing complex data cleansing and matching. My team provided the key Design Inputs and UAT Testing to the project before expanding to include the Adobe Campaign and B2B Dynamics systems.The Agile Development Sprint Backlog process we established for our Single Customer View solution ensured that our £1 Million pa budget was most effectively spent to meet key Business Requirements based on the Financial Benefits or scale of any Data Quality improvements. This worked closely with Dev Backlogs for our Adobe Campaign and MS Dynamics systems.The teams monitoring and managing of Data Quality was achieved by the creation of automated DQ Reporting, along with Operational Service Report tracking, shaping issues found into Dev stories to be addressed through the Sprint Backlogs. Show less Key deliverables of my team were the generation of Hotels and Restaurants Insights based on database analysis, along with CRM support activities, including the creation and management of Churn Modelling and Text Analytics capabilities.Digitally integrated campaigns were also achieved through Triggered Emails based on customers online browsing, along with Customer Segmentations uploaded into our cloud platform to support personalisation and programmatic marketing.During this role we helped launch a cloud-based Analytics DWH designed to support Commercial, Marketing and Digital with SQL Server, Tableau and PowerBI tools, plus our email platforms were also migrated from Salesforce to Adobe Campaign.       Established a Data Governance Policy and Standards framework by collating and reviewing the existing documentation to improve where required and identify gaps requiring new content creating. This required collaboration across IT, Legal and Security teams along with authoring and seeking of business approval when changes or new documentation was required.To compliment the implementation of their Data.World cataloguing and metadata tool, there was a requirement for Data Quality Reporting to be created for nominated access tables on our EDW. The Data Quality KPI summaries created were designed to also drive Data Owner-Steward issue alerting plus DQ Assessment Rating footers on any Tableau Dashboards.Acted as Team Lead in the technical definition of a new EDP 2.0 initiative, Proof of Technology and engagement with 3rd Party demos. This led to documenting specific business requirements and drafting a Statement of Work to bring Informatica Data Catalogue and MDM-Reference 360 into JLR to work across data platforms and deliver several critical company priorities.Utilised my experience to provide Data Governance expertise undertaking deep dive reviews of their Multiverse, Finance and Supply Chain initiatives, plus acted as the Data Protection Champion for the Enterprise Data Office and wider Digital team to help to resolve GDPR queries and escalate any issues further to the DPO when required.       (Reason for leaving: Voluntary redundancy)Re-established a legacy Data Ownership Framework of 116 employees across various levels and regions of the organisation to ensure there were engaged and onboarded Exec Data Sponsors, Data Owners and Data Stewards for all the key business Data Domains. This included the creation of briefing content and the setup of additional SteerCo meetings where required.Undertook an RFP style process to select the Alation Data Governance Tool and implemented it as a ‘Single Pane of Glass’ over the RS future and legacy Group Data Platforms and Business Intelligence tools. This involved a review of software functionality versus requirements to inform our vendor selection, a 6-month implementation then a launch to 150+ Data Users.Supported the development of a Snowflake Enterprise Data Warehouse and ‘Citizen Developer’ Labs with appropriate Data Governance, Privacy and Information Security engagements. This included the creation of Lab Owner onboarding materials and contracting to offer guidance on data best practices and to monitor operational performance against going forwards.Inputted into two significant Master Data project developments in the Customer and Product domains, which were supported by my team with a variety of Data Quality analysis, Target Operating Model development and Data Steward operational process design, plus the creation of required Data Governance Policies, Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
