  I was responsible for all business functions, including governance and assurance, taking this ‘amateur’ sports NGB through a period of stabilisation then change to become the ‘best governed sport in Scotland’ following independent audit [sportscotland, 2008/9]. • Authored a new strategic business plan, 2008-2014, following widespread consultation with hockey’s stakeholders in Scotland• Designed and delivered a full corporate rebrand in line with the new Business Plan vision and values - to create a new ‘joined up’ Scottish Hockey culture and external brand• Wrote the inaugural ICT strategy and delivered systems and processes to provide a new stable infrastructure and web presence• Advised to the Board in all business, finance, policy, and operational matters. • Designed and delivered new measuring and monitoring processes through to Board level • Held delegated authority to act as CEO in his absence• Delivered and managed the annual and forward budgets and monthly management accounts• Grew business turnover by 35% in 4 years, with budgets achieved• Ensured compliance with Standards including Ethics and Equity [Preliminary Level]• Delivery of quality programs, products and services, including elite events such as the European U18 Hockey Championships and European Indoor Club Championships Cup Show less

Increasing participation in cycling in Hampshire, primarily via British Cycling's Breeze initiative, and with a particular focus on the more 'inactive' women or those with lower cycling 'confidence', as aligned to the strategic focus of Energise Me, the County Sports Partnership.- Design and implementation of specific tailored programmes- Engaging with, and developing Hampshire's female Leaders and Coaches. CPD, focus groups, networking opportunities; recognition and rewards- Providing bespoke skills and bike maintenance sessions with local coaches, clubs and commercial partners- Increasing participation in the Breeze programme in Hampshire by 250% in two years, while developing pathways and opportunities for women to further develop and enjoy their cycling independently- Monitoring, reporting, and influencing.
