  Me and my team of 5 ran a business for a year gaining experience in starting a business, running it and closing it. We did this under the young enterprise competition! Although we did not win any prize, the experience itself was eye opening to learn more about the daily struggles and runnings of a small business. We did make a profit in the end and I believe all our hard work paid off! This experience has motivated me to want to run my own startup business and create something valuable for others to improve their lives! That is why I have attended many hackathons and many yet to come, to network but most importantly to gain ideas and the skills to start my own startup! Show less

  Graphic Design Work Experience

  I took part in Sprinpods Graphic Design Virtual Experience program. During the program I gained: - A sound understanding of the inner-workings and concepts related to Graphic Design. I also gained the ability to identify the skills needed to pursue a career in this sector. - The ability to successfully apply knowledge of the Graphic Design sector by completing quizzes, interactive exercises and activities. - Meaningful interaction with industry professionals through live webinars.- Knowledge of key employability and transferable skills, as well as a sound awareness of employer expectations.- An ability to develop a detailed brief to provide the best design possible. - An opportunity to develop my design skills using the principles and elements of graphic design.This opportunity allowed me to learn a lot about the Graphic Design sector and was an incredibly fun experience. I look forward to completing more projects and courses, such as this one, about the industry to develop my knowledge even further. Show less

  I teach a dance style called bachata every other Wednesday! The experience has not only taught me a lot more about bachata but also how to project my voice over music, give clear instructions and spotting when someone needs help.

  I took part of a program called Switch on Stand out, where each team was assigned a business that we would consult for a month to help them reach their digital marketing goals. It was a great experience putting my marketing skills into practice, deliberating on the best platforms to use and making string plans to ensure success for CAIR London! We were a team of 4 amazing people always ready to put our best into the advice and find the best solutions to their problems.

  Work shadowing Silver Kalmus, learning about investment banking, specifically bonds and IPOs. Assigned to find a company with a potential to make a IPO or bond in the near future. Pitch the company to investors using a self made sell PowerPoint. This was all in the space of one week.
