  I was able to secure a Software Developer role with IBM UK for my industrial placement. This was an ideal opportunity for me to be schooled in technology in a professional environment and visualise the inevitable transition through time of Medicine and Technology.Collectively, my role involved:✦ Maintaining and developing the APAR Processing Tool for IBM's Level-3 Middleware support teams in the UK, USA and India, which provides an automated solution to manage their work items. This allowed the level-3 teams to focus on providing adequate support to enable customer satisfaction for these software solutions used by many of the world's major companies. Some of these Middleware products include; - Websphere Message Broker - Websphere MQ - Websphere Enterprise Service Bus - IBM MessageSight✦ Provided customer assistance to members of IBM's level-3 support teams, if they have any issues with the APAR Processing Tool.Learning and SkillsI dedicated time to getting involve with various shadowing opportunities, to expand my knowledge of the cooperate and engineering world. I shadowed Sales Teams for the Public Sector and Resiliency services, as well as Design and Healthcare teams. On a more practical side, I was involved in new projects and volunteered for teaching in the local John Keble Primary School.
