    • Young Harris College

      Aug 2013 - May 2014

I managed appointments with administrators, organized media (such as flyers and posters) for campus events, and was the first line of inquiry for students. I researched, designed, and taught 4 lessons of World Religions, using PowerPoint and Word. I graded projects, quizzes, and essays, becoming accustomed to grading using Moodle, my college's LMS system. I held office hours and often met with students to review their papers and help them prepare for exams.

      PhD in Political Philosophy

Acquired five and a half years of experience managing long-term, multi-part projects. This included planning and implementing 6 college-level courses independently, including Introduction to Philosophy and General Logic. I also proposed, researched, and completed a book-length manuscript which examined how the way we define "religion" affects the conclusions we reach in certain political arguments. I conducted independent research into religion and politics through the sustained study of 100+ texts, staying abreast of recent literature developments in order to produce my dissertation. I presented my work at local and international conferences, and collaborated with my peers on interdisciplinary reviews. As a Robert Penn Warren Fellow and as President of the Philosophy Graduate Student Council I also planned events, including regular meetings of the graduate students, performed surveys of graduate students, and implemented solutions in response to the data gathered. I defended my dissertation on May 18th, 2020. Show less

    • Madecraft

      Sept 2020 - Jul 2022

I developed the curriculum and learning materials for Madecraft's new program: the Madecraft School of Content. This is an online classroom where SME's learned to craft their own online educational courses. I was the Lead Instructor for the School of Content's first two iterations, guiding a total of 20 SME's through this process. This included leading online class sessions, providing individual feedback, and facilitating group dynamics. I continued my work for Madecraft remotely and on a contract basis. Madecraft is committed to reimagining video courses in order to produce more engaging and instructive e-learning. As a Learning Content Producer, I worked with SME's to craft their knowledge into accessible stories and lessons, then guided the creative and instructional design of their course. I also managed the life cycle of courses, ensuring it flowed seamlessly from pre- to post-production and beyond.
