Additional roles include supporting VPN access, implementing group policy, backup using VERITAS BackupExec 9.1 and software deployment I was instrumental in helping Microscience to develop new therapeutic and preventative approaches to infection with the Salmonella based mucosal delivery system for oral typhoid, oral travellers’ diarrhoea and oral hepatitis B vaccines. Whilst working at Microscience I was able to successfully retrain in IT, fully supported by the company and enabling me to take over from the previous IT manager.

  My role has a Principal Support Engineer comprised of providing backline support troubleshooting backup and restore failures with log file analysis and webex. I have excellent support experience with Symantec NetBackup, PureDisk and NetBackup OpsCenter on Windows, UNIX and Linux platforms. I have specialised in NetBackup deduplication feature PureDisk and the NetBackup appliances. These utilise NetBackup PureDisk and MSDP technology with Storage Foundation. Providing NetBackup Business Critical Customer support for our EMEA, Asia Pac and US customers. To respond to customer-driven support calls and provide resolutions to these calls in a timely fashion, that will help maintain Symantec’s competitive edge.
