  Closely worked with the Assistant Dean of Recruitment and Retention by completing three main tasks over the course of the Summer. My first task was to work with a summer camp of high school students and train them to be business minded by presenting them with information on how to start a business. My second was supervising a bridge program that helped high school seniors who were admitted to Prairie View make the transition into a college student. Last was starting a new ceremony in the College of Business that recognizes a students transition from a pre-business to full business student by meeting certain requirements. Show less

  I currently assist the Program Director of Academic Engagement and Student Success bu supervising several student workers in varying positions and areas. I do this by delegating tasks directly to the students, checking their attendance at their work stations, and reviewing their progress of assignments given to them. I also assist with the preparations for both new student and transfer student orientation by using software to send to prospective students to gain their information and create a program to show them what Prairie View has to offer to them. Currently we are implementing a new plan for an online orientation process in addition to the physical orientation that each student must attend. Show less

  Optimization and efficiency with a focus in integration is the backbone of this role. Sitting within the sales org and working with my team we identify areas that serve internal customers and create efficient processes to manage intake of requests, track through the pipeline, and measure impact to the business. During this time I built tools that increased efficiency of sellers and worked with a team to optimize existing resources on a continuous basis so the most up to date solutions were available. In tandem with that I recorded and reported metrics on a variety of points to ensure the usage of the tools and continuous engagement with the sales teams was present. Early in career development program aimed at building business acumen at CUNA Mutual Group. Time in this program was spent learning products provided and brokered through the company, how new products come to market in a startup environment, how teams engage the Multicultural Center of Expertise and how this team interacts with customers and the tools and resources available for sales teams enabling them to win deals.
