  - Tasks include developing and implementing new strategies to improve the current operations of the ICT database unit and implementing strategic backup policies using existing backup appliances and ensuring the availability of up-to-date backups at all times.- Administration of the Veritas Netbackup Appliance and Oracle Tape Library for automated backups of the corporate systems landscape and offsite storage.- Conducting periodic BCP Failover Tests to the Standby environment to ascertain the organization's readiness to react to a disaster situation.- Configuring and implementing new databases at the production and standby environment and ensuring 99.9% synchronization throughout the year.- Implementing strategies to reduce the Recovery Time Objective required to failover to the standby site in case of a disaster.- Installation, Configuration, and Upgrade of New databases to support the development of new applications.- Migration of Database systems to new environments upon acquisition of new appliances.
