      ● Coordinate and oversee the operation of the YMCA Men and Women’s Emergency Winter Overflow shelter to ensure that the program is within the guidelines of the contract standards. ● Supervises a team of 15-20 staff in overflow shelter. ● Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training and coaching employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. ● Ensures accurate participant information on nightly bed list and other data entry is completed and entered into the HMIS online system daily. ● Ensures adequate resources and information on homeless services are available to program participants and staff. ●Coordinates communication between the Men's and Women's Emergency Winter Overflow and partner agencies. ● Works closely with the various other shelter directors, advocates and staff to foster the continuity of services for program participants. ● Attends community, funder and partner agency meetings; communicates meeting updates, concerns and/or issues to Lead Service Coordinator and Director of Support Services. ● Completes monthly reports including but not limited to occupancy, services and program outcome data. Reviews data for quality and meetings with HMIS staff regularly. ● Responds to emergency needs and coordinates action steps for resolution and prevention. ● Meets regularly with staff to communicate issues, concerns, and critique service delivery system. ● Reviews participant incidents and grievances to determine type and level of intervention and/or solutions including mediation.
