  Lead the Health, Education & Law Project (HELP), a collaboration with hospitals to remediate/eliminate legal issues that affect a patient’s health.• Through HELP, collaborate with eight healthcare systems throughout the State of Nebraska including eleven hospitals, three ambulatory clinics, and two federally qualified health centers.o Nebraska Medicine estimates the project work brought over $14MM back to the hospital in Medicaid and Medicare dollars that otherwise would not have been reimbursed.• Lead the project growth from $25K budget to over $1MM budget in 10 years.• Supervise a staff of 6 attorneys and 3 paralegals.• Manage a full caseload, closed 180 cases, won 89 social security/disability cases, supervised a 1,900 cases.• Dedicate time to having regular contact with hospitals, meeting with patients, often in their hospital rooms. • Educate and counsel health care staff helping them identify legal matters that may be affecting patient care. • Oversee all correspondence, contract and grant writing, compliance and reporting; negotiate contracts with hospitals and act as liaison and counsel to keep contracts in place.• Serve as liaison between Legal Aid of Nebraska and collaborating health care facilities.• Served as a speaker at both local and national conferences on Medical Legal Partnerships.• Advise entities across the country on how to start and run a medical legal partnership.
