At GCSE I studied Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Music, Statistics, Information Technology, English Language, English Literature, Graphic Products and Catholic Christianity of which Chemistry and Music were at A* level. To support my studied I had two part time jobs as a cleaner and a shop assistant.

Here I worked on the validation and optimisation of analytical methods for accelerated drug projects. Three months of this placement was spent conducting a masters research project at AstraZeneca developing novel synthetic reaction monitoring techniques.

I am a laboratory manager, an LC-MS superuser and a dissolution super user working to expand capabilities at the host site in these areas. I provide training and support to others in the area of dissolution, and I mentor new starters with Eurofins at the host site. My role involves the delivery of improvements to analytical procedures, manufacturing processes and control strategies to provide benefits to control, throughout, cost, reliability and sustainability of our commercial API portfolio. Working in the Technical Stewardship area of AstraZeneca's Chemical Development department, my role primarily involved lifecycle management activities, providing technical support to the commercial manufacturing of AstraZeneca products. My day-to-day role typically involved synthetic chemistry process development/optimisation and the associated analytical chemistry.
