      * Cell phone coverage across the campus was poor, due to location, trees and terrain. By partnering with a third-party, we deployed a vendor-neutral distributed antenna system that was adopted by 5 carriers.* Wi-Fi coverage was almost non-existent. By partnering with a startup company, Perfigo, we were able to deploy 200+ access points -- the "CruzNet" wireless service -- to cover the most heavily used areas of campus. (Perfigo was subsequently acquired by Cisco Systems). * Led effort to update the campus data center with structured cabling system, UPS and emergency power. Show less
