  I worked with Dr. Isabel Bradburn, a human development professor at Virginia Tech, to study the affect of basic social emotion understanding on academic success, positive attitudes toward learning, and social skills of four year olds in future years of life. I tested pediatric human subjects verbally and electronically. Subjects were given scores on competence motivation, attention/persistence, and attitude toward learning. I, then, compared subject's scores depending on the method of administration of the test. We presented our research at the Virginia Tech Undergraduate Research Fair in the Fall of 2016. Show less
