      I was primarily responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational duties for hosting and application code deployment for 120 websites as well as managing the web security authentication environment, all proxy browsing, external email, firewall rule management, perimeter security, and the support and delivery of IT solutions. I also led a team of 5 to operate all the technical aspects including infrastructure, application deployment and support, resource management, and implementation of the web presence.Key Achievements:• Managed a redundant web infrastructure across 3 data centres, 50 web servers, disaster recovery, and associated business continuity planning and testing.• Developed and implemented robust processes that were scalable, secure, and met customers’ expectations.• Identified the performance issues with MS Virtual Server and performed performance testing on VMware server to virtualise the majority of the hosting environment onto Microsoft Virtual Server.• Developed a new internal cost recovery model based on a proportional usage of the infrastructure and running costs. Provides phone infrastructure for 1000 staff across multiple campuses.Key Achievements:• Led successful merger for CORE and WAN Consolidation, Dual Internet Peering, moving firewalls, migration of server hardware, and new backup environment. Eliminated risk and added in redundancy.• Led the design for a new consolidated 12 site WAN during the merger – improved the 12 WAN sites redundancy into the 2 Main Data Centres; increased the 12 WAN sites connection speeds from 50MB to 200/200MB and reduced the total monthly WAN costs by $8000.
