      Activities and Societies: On the LSU Swimming and Diving team, a Division one sporting program. Have attended the SEC Championship all years as well as Participated in the NCAA DI Championships 2014 and Individual qualifier 2016. A member of the National Honor Society for first year students, Alpha Lambda Delta, for above 3.0 GPA. Also a member of Sigma Alpha Pi for a constant GPA of above 3.0 for all completed years so far. Named on the SEC Honor Roll all three years, as well as been named Student Athlete of the Month.       Taryn Anne MackenzieHead Site Coach - [email protected] MacKenzie is from Johannesburg, South Africa, entering her first year with Tiger Aquatics as the Head Site Coach at the Tiger Aquatics Gonzales Satellite.Before coming to LSU MacKenzie was the 2010 South African National Champion in the 50 meter and 100 meter breaststroke and had competed for her country on the international stage. She was part of the South African Team to compete in the first ever Youth Olympics in Singapore and represented her country at the African Junior Championships in Mauritius and Mare Nostrum in Europe. MacKenzie finished off her swimming career at the 2016 South African Olympic Trials where she achieved career best times in all three of her breaststroke events, the 50, 100 and 200 meters.Recently graduating from LSU, MacKenzie earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with hopes to continue her studies to become a qualified Sports Nutritionist. Throughout her four years at LSU she represented the Swimming and Diving program at the highest level. She was a member of 4 SEC Championship Teams and in her sophomore and senior year was a NCAA Qualifier. MacKenzie earned all 4 varsity letters and was named on the SEC Academic Honor Roll her freshman to senior year.Excited for this new chapter of her life, MacKenzie hopes to transfer her determination and commitment to the sport onto her athletes to help them achieve their own goals and aspirations. MacKenzie believes she can use her passion and experience in swimming to help others become the best that they can be. With a true love and passion for swimming she is excited for the transformation from athlete to coach and what the future holds. Show less
