Whilst working here full time, I achieved my NVQ level 4 in retail management.My Daily expectations to be carried out were - managing the opening up of the shop, switching the security alarms off and deactivating the shutters. Checking the five other branches were all aware of the daily targets and if there were any customer collections so that garments were steamed and there in store to try on. Appointments would be made for the occasion wear and collected by the seamstress who worked outside the store. I had to price up everything using the order invoices, I would then calculate the retail markup using a calculator with the vat included. It was important to be concise. I would divide everything for the other branches to collect the same morning . I was then assisting the owner and going on buying appointments direct with warehouses/stockists. End of day duties Contacting the five other branches to take the totals in cash card and cheque transactions, before checking the store I was in charged off. And checking the electronic daily receipt added up correctly and calculated with any cash taken to be locked away. Show less
