      I initially worked in the Inorganic section, performing Wet Chemistry, Colorimetric and Spectrophotometric analysis of raw, potable and ground water samples. I also used ICP-OES to analyse samples for metal contaminants.I then transferred to the Organic section, performing OPP and PAH pesticide analysis using GCMS and HPLC. I learned a variety of extraction techniques including: liquid-liquid and Solid Phase Extraction (SPE). Upon moving to Howdon Laboratory, I was required to analyse waste waters as well as clean water samples for contaminant such as: organotins and PAH’s. Show less
