Developed a unique model of healthcare by creating a collaborative model allowing two competing hospitals to merge together to allow for a significant reduction in overhead, expanded services, enhanced quality outcomes and employee satisfactionLeadership team is comprised of a 12 member Board of Directors who jointly serve both hospitals along with a 17 member joint management team. Employ 340 staff, including 21 physicians and 6 mid level providers. Combined annual gross revenues of over $60 million, operating 48 beds and 9 physician clinicsServed exclusively as the CEO and CFO of St. Mary’s Hospital from 1989 to 1998. Asked to assume the responsibility as CEO of CVHC in 1998 to form a joint relationship between these two competing facilities. CVHC had many years of financial struggles under previous county ownership. Under joint management model, CVHC became financially successful. Working in conjunction with Kootenai Health, the network and ACO is changing the way healthcare is delivered while driving the change to value based care. Acts as the practice liaison for non-clinical operational and performance requirements. Collaborates with internal and external partners to support health information technology. Coordinates membership/participation efforts to ensure legal compliance with all clinically integrated network and Medicare accountable care organization rules and regulations.
