  As President of the Oregon Blockchain Group, I have taken on many responsibilities including: team-building, operations, marketing, meeting with professionals, Fund Report writing, working with UO administration, public speaking, making weekly agendas and leading several weekly meetings (main meetings and management meetings), garnering guest speakers, collaborating with other clubs, conducting interviews for new members, and overall leadership. My first initiative in this role was to enact a new "deliverable" requirement for all members. A deliverable is a project that each member must complete once a term. They may choose from a list of around 10 projects (research article, smart contract, pitching an asset to our fund, educational presentation to the club, governance delegate, etc) with an option to create their own project.My second was introducing the Blockchain Education Program. This was mandatory for admittance of new club members, open to the whole community, and recommended for existing members. This 5-week course ran at the end of our two yearly recruiting cycles. In this course, pupils learned about the fundamentals of cryptography (private/public key generation), consensus mechanisms, use case verticals, and much more. I also lead and execute the following tasks:- Spearheading several initiatives with the UO administration - meeting with the CFO of the University and faculty to discuss our projects’ viability and structure. - Meet with industry professionals on a weekly basis to discuss OBG, and invite them to speak with us- Lead the production of our Fund I quarterly reports (see website, Linkedin, and Twitter)- Lead both weekly club meetings and management meetings. - Oversee the fiscal, operational, and marketing sides of the club. This includes yearly and monthly budgeting, planning conferences, organizing recruiting events, coordinating with University stakeholders for project execution, organizing socials with other clubs, etc. Show less

  Having started at the beginning of summer 2022, I was incredibly fortunate to have served under FTX’s Head of Europe, Patrick Gruhn. In this role I worked on a variety of tasks. I wrote internal reports and gave presentations about various potential partnerships, M&A, impending legal regimes, KYC/AML regulations, and topics related to NFT’s and MV. To do this, I would meet with the likes of the General Counsel for FTX, our external advisors, and upper management of companies with which we may partner or acquire. This experience has provided me with tremendous learning opportunity and insight as to how the worlds of Web 2 and Web 3 blend together. Show less
