  Project required development of rear view camera system for the Long Beach Veterans Medical Center. Worked with medical suppliers to construct a durable, universal, and user friendly active navigation aide. Solved recurring issues of collisions into stationary objects and people by reversing electric wheel chairs.

  Bellows Vibration Damping II, Senior Design Project

  Worked on the second half of two year project sponsored by Aerojet Rocketdyne. Optimized a water recirculation system designed to create vibrational excitation in a bellows expansion joint and implemented vibration suppression technology. Exercised real life problem solving skills by troubleshooting mechanical systems. Learned engineering design processes, rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing. Gained applied knowledge of strain gauge systems, materials, data acquisition tools, and safety. Gathered an existing company US patent and created described damper devices.
