      Hired to re-open the Center. It had been previously shut down twice, by the administration, due to its failure to meet district standards and expectations. Charge was to revamp the existing programs to make them more conducive for student learning, and success, with an ultimate goal of a Center that served all age levels and the community. Responsibilities entailed all day to day administrative tasks including attendance, discipline, personnel, scheduling and public relations. Successfully implemented, an academic program for Robertson County Intervention Facility or “Boot Camp”, PEP (Pregnancy, Education, and Parenting), HSC (High School Completion), ASHSC (After School High School Completion), and a Welfare to Work Program for student’s parents. Show less Responsible for NCLB (No Child Left Behind) compliance and certification, interpreting and recommending policies and regulations, teacher recruitment and staffing, salary, wage and leave administration, employee communications and evaluations, and student code of conduct. Maintain a working knowledge of SBEC (State Board of Educator Certification) and TEA (Texas Education Agency) in an effort to educate district personnel regarding state, and federal, certification and NCLB requirements, rules, practices and trends. Conduct interviews, for all positions, due to specialized interview training with the Haberman Star Teacher and Ventures for Excellence teacher interview processes. Served as designated Grievance and Expulsion Officer for district for employees, parents and students. Show less Promoted to restructure and bring the school more in line with administrative expectations while insuring performance toward state accountability standards. Increased overall campus accountability scores, in each grade level test administration, during all three years. While working with a diverse population of students in grades six through eight, 6 of 9 campus test scores were increased during the 2000-2001 school year. During the 2001-2002 school year 8 of 9 campus test scores were increased to above the 80% passing rate and, 6 of 9 were increased to above the 90% passing rate. Planned, developed, prepared, implemented and maintained an effective and collegial school environment while maintaining professional relationships with students, parents, staff and the community. In addition various other duties managed multiple administrative tasks including helping to coordinate district school bond proposals, discipline, budget, staffing, employee evaluation, accident investigation, attendance, scheduling and public relations, Identified and analyzed complex school problems and implemented necessary action to increase both student and staff productivity by working collaboratively with teachers and community to identify needs of campus and individual learners. Show less Primary responsibilities included student discipline, management of an inclusion program for special education students, teacher evaluation, student athletic activities and facilities management. Served as the district liaison to the Texas Workers Compensation Commission (TWCC), during the time the district was identified as “high risk” for employee safety, and coordinated district’s safety inspections, facility repairs, in preparation for a state audit and inspection.
