      Mar 2012 - Jan 2017
      Food and beverage assistant

I worked part-time at the four-star establishment Down Hall Country House Hotel, as a Banqueting Assistant. My duties included running a mixture of functions such as Lunches, Dinners, Afternoon Teas, Conferences and Parties for all occasions. I had a supervisor type role, in which I had a large amount of responsibility placed upon me to ensure that the guests are satisfied. I received the Employee of the Month award in December 2013, as voted by all senior members of staff in the hotel. I also received the Employee of the Quarter award for June, July and August 2014. More recently I received the Employee of the Year award for 2014. I have received positive feedback from guests I have looked after. Meeting a variety of people every day has improved my social skills, my communication skills and "my thinking on the spot" and "outside the box" to solve problems and issues which tend to arise. I have been told that my services are to an "exquisite standard" and that I am always attentive to guests, whilst being "a credit to my job and the hotel" - copies of feedback are available. Student technology mentor

I worked as a Student Technology Mentor at the University of Hertfordshire. This involved me assisting students and staff in the transition of a previous VLE to a new one. This was an exciting role as I was able to work among students and teach them what I had learnt. This role was within the business school and I was selected from an interview process due to my strong and enthusiastic performance.

      Sept 2020 - now

I rolled off of the BT Commercial Management graduate scheme on 1st September ’22 into a Go To Market Propositions role in BTs SoHo division (Single Office Home Office). Since being in the role I was able to deliver my first customer proposition within 6 months of being in the role, which was crucial in our sales channel as it picked up large volumes and proved to be important to the overall channel targets. As a Go To Market manager, I have had to get behind the detail of capturing our requirements and ensuring they are met from all stakeholders, all the way through to delivery and post-delivery. My role has a higher focus on converged propositions and has enabled me to understand the systems we are using in order to drive large volumes of sales as well as making improvements to the way we operate, which has impacted customers positively. I’ve developed a higher level of commercial acumen, whilst having the opportunity to regularly present with senior stakeholders and persuade them why we should launch what I am proposing. Show less My last role on the Commercial Management Graduate scheme was in the wholesale mobile space, as a Propositions Professional. I had the chance to deliver some propositions material out to our customers, as well as really grasping an understanding of how the MNO and MVNO markets function today. This role enabled me to get to grips with the Concept to Market and Go To Market frameworks, to really digest what it takes from creation of, all the way to delivering a successful proposition. I also had the opportunity to participate in customer events, which allowed me to get closer to our partners, in order to better understand their needs and reflect on these with our propositions we took to market. Show less When working as a product manager I was exposed to different stakeholders and had to manage them in a way I hadn’t previously, allowing me to interact with people from different backgrounds and different experiences. It also helped me to understand the waterfall delivery method, even after having done scrum, I can see the value in using either. Through working as a product manager, I was able to understand the product life cycle and work closely on Concept to Market activities, which allowed me to take full responsibility of my own requirements and drive them to market. I was also required to maintain a positive relationship with one of our biggest partners, in which I was able to really develop on my relationship management. Show less Through working as a CSM and SAFe certified Scrum Master, I have been working to apply scrum and agile ways of working within my teams to deliver high quality increments. I am passionate about motivating, planning, and organising teams to ensure project deadlines are met. I have excellent knowledge of the scrum framework and the different techniques and artifacts. I coach cross-functional teams, and the organisation on agile practices and enable them to be self-organised, flexible, and productive. I have taken teams to a high level of performance due to recognising areas of strength and improvement and employing the appropriate coaching and development techniques. During this role, I was able to deliver BT Business's first E2E digital self serve journey, which is still in play and is consistently a huge part of BTs service portfolio. Show less
