  At UF/IFAS Analytical Services Laboratories, I specialize in nutrient analysis for soil, plant, and water samples. My core responsibilities include sorting, recording, and labeling samples, forms, and checks. I perform nutrient extractions (Mehlich-3, KCl, water, AB, total phosphorus) and dry ash digestions, preparing reagents and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while managing chemical waste.Additionally, I calibrate and analyze soil pH with a pH robot and handheld probe. My work involves conducting phosphorus fractionation and acid digestions using an autoclave. I also operate the Spectro Arcos II ICP-OES for nutrient analysis, quality control, and data management in LIMS. Show less
