  Played a lead role representing Eskom in maximizing contract value – particularly associated with the Medupi project - protecting the project in terms of cost savings and time, resolving conflict and disputes and quality (where most of the contracts were concluded under the FIDIC suite).✦ Special contributions – 1) presided over the Medupi Claims and Variation Committee in support of the Project Director. Monitored project scope creep and risk and mitigated accordingly, presenting modifications at Exco Procurement, Board Tender Committee and National Treasury level.✦ 2) Notably, lead a legal and claims specialist team, assessing and analysing the a) Medupi contractor claims of R3 billion – reduced to R279 million; and b) Kusile contractor claims in excess of R3 billion – reduced to R1.2 billion. Started out as a Project Supervisor at Grootvlei and Komati power stations.✦ Special Contributions – 1) led Corporate Social Economic initiatives which resulted in stability of the Dhuva site and benefit to Eskom. Was awarded Resilient Manager and Sino Ubuntu awards at the Eskom Enterprise 2009 and Group Capital Managers Award in 2011 and 2013 respectively.✦ 2) Established a Steerco for Integration Management on the Control & Instruments packages, with stakeholders being Construction, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Outages, Approved Inspection Authorities and Contractors.
