  Working through the summer period 2016 as an Operations Assistant in private operations, my role was to manage aircraft movement messages and send out handling requests. In September 2016, I trained for commercial operations and moved departments to help manage two commercial airlines. I now help out in both commercial and private operations depending on what department needs support.

Having worked in the terminal security screening department, I have dealt with all mannerisms of passengers and situations. Assisting the airfield operations team at London Luton airport with safety audits, surface inspections and monitoring general airfield safety.

  As an Operations Controller for Flightworx Aviation my responsibilities were ensuring flight trips are setup and managed correctly to each customers individual requirement, ensuring airport slots are obtained along with setting up ground handling requests and creating flight packs. During my time as an Operations Controller, I was fortunate to be offered a six month secondment in another department of the Operations team dealing with longer trips with clients such as football teams and rock bands. This gives me further knowledge of how to work with higher profile clients with more complex requirements.

  Airfield Operations Officer

  Ensuring a high level of safety is maintained on the airfield at all times. Tasks include but are not limited to:Completing audits on aircraft turnarounds.Aircraft marshalling.Airside road, taxiway and stand inspections.Worksite management.Aircraft and vehicle leading.Wildlife control.As part of the official Heathrow Runway Resurfacing plan starting in June 2023, myself and colleagues have a critical role to ensure that the large convoy of contractors enter the runway at the precise time so the works can be successfully completed each night.
