  I was a before and after school teacher on site at Bear Road Elementary in the Cicero North Syracuse school district. The grades at the school were kindergarten through fourth grade. I led crafts and supervised snack, and times spent on the playground and other areas. On days off and snow days I worked full days which included supervising during time spent playing in the snow, and in the pool.   This was a three week internship at Colegio San Ignacio in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. In Colegio San Ignacio I worked with a mentor teacher to teach English, primarily to fifth grade students. I created plans for lessons and was frequently in front of a classroom by myself. I worked to create plans for "America Week" for the entire elementary school. During my time in Spain, I also volunteered at Crux de Los Angeles Foundation in Llanera, Asturias.I led a group of ten fifth grade students during an English Immersion Camp run by Colegio San Ignacio.   Summer Camp Counselor

  I was a summer camp leader for groups of 10-15 children, ages 7-8. This was a day camp which took place on weekdays the Buffalo Zoo. Myself and my co-counselor led games and other activities at our discretion for our individual group. In addition, I supervised activities such as zoo tours, craft time, up close animal encounters, and creating enrichment for animals. I ensured safety and wellbeing for all of my campers,reporting and communicating effectively and frequently with parents and my camp director. As it was a summer camp, one of my main goals for the day was to make sure that the campers were having fun and enjoying themselves. To do this, I kept an upbeat, and enthusiastic attitude. I strived to create a positive atmosphere, connecting with and supporting the campers and my co-counselors.
