  In previous postings as a Detective with Harris County S.O., I served as a Homicide Detective, and as a Child Abuse Unit Detective. Prior to that, as an Evidence Technician/Crime Scene Investigator Deputy, I served by providing the full gamut of forensics services to my agency in case investigations. These cases were primarily, but not only, death investigations. I was an integral part of hundreds of death investigations, to include many capital and lower murder cases, and attained qualified expert witness status in several fields, to include latent print identification, bloodstain pattern analysis, and others.   Beginning 9/11 assigned by home agency, the Harris County Sheriff's Office, as a JTTF Task Force Officer at FBI-Houston. There, I served as a principal Case Agent on Full National Security Investigations, involving evidence and intelligence at all classification levels (current, active TS/SCI + Security Clearance via FBI), and regularly during my tenure involving the use of FISA (includes 702 FISA as well). Have been the primary FISA Case Coordinator (multiple cases) in those instances. Selected to serve as FBI Interrogator of Operation Enduring Freedom-era detainees at U.S. terrorist detention facilities in Guantanamo Bay Cuba, 2002. Served as an experienced, counterterrorism investigator of international terrorism cases under the umbrella of FBI JTTF. Additionally, during this phase of my career, I served the Harris County Sheriff's Office as the supervising Sergeant of Homeland Security Bureau detailees to the FBI Houston Field Office. In this capacity, I was responsible for HCSO sergeants, deputy sheriffs, analysts and clerks assigned to the Houston FBI Field Office. In addition to providing the line supervision and management for these employees, I also served as a liaison between HCSO command staff and the FBI, ensuring that each agency's informational and operational needs were met. The group I supervised had duties including terrorism investigation, major drugs investigations, major gangs investigation, and the like. Thus, when sensitive cases, issues or needs arose in these areas it was one of my responsibilities to coordinate efforts involving FBI and HCSO personnel. Show less
