Was a Teaching Assistant for CIVL 460 (fourth year civil engineering design course), where I was exposed to a variety of structural and geotechnical projects from industry partners.

      In this position I conducted own set of testing and instrumentation on patch corrosion and its effect on buried infrastructure. I then used these self-conducted tests to begin a thesis course to be performed throughout the final year of my civil engineering undergrad. In addition, I would assist pH.D student’s with setting up and conducting tests in Geotechnical Laboratory. I would also assist with the recording and analyzing of data through geotechnical and structural software programs. Bounce Back Facilitators are trained upper-year students who have skills and experience that can help first-year students get back on track academically. Through assessing learning skills and devising learning strategies, a facilitators job is to raise the student's current academic standing while also preparing the student to be independent and successful in the future. Customer Service:Constantly improving public relation skills due to dealing with other factions of Queen’s University such as varsity teams, administration and the general public etc.. General Labour. Worked to maintain Queen's outdoor facilities. Hired due to ability to balance my social nature with a strong work ethic. Further utilized my time management to make sure I got the job at hand done and done right.

      I am currently working as a structural TA for the 4th year civil design course (CIVL 460). I am managing five student groups and help to develop technical engineering reports on projects from industry partners. I run weekly meetings to discuss the proper form of technical writing and effective ways to present the project material in an efficient and professional manner. The position requires an emphasis on technical knowledge of both structural design and rehabilitation.
