      Jan 2009 - Nov 2011

I was responsible for the maintenance, accountability, and training on over 3.4 million dollars worth of equipment and weaponry on a daily basis. I lead, directed, and even gave informational seminars’ on important training materials for soldier development on all U.S. Weapon Systems and Tactics. In so doing I maximized performance, via soldier education and familiarization of many different kinds of firearms and their proper implementation and use during combat operations. During my 3.5-year period as a Master Armorer, I maintained 100% accountability. I inspected, cleaned, repaired, and rebuilt various firearms as needed. My duties included over 1,000 pieces of equipment and optics some 200 different firearms ranging from M4 Carbines, M249 Squad Automatic Weapons, M-14 Semi-Automatic Rifles, M240B Machine Guns, M500 Mossberg Shotguns, M2 Browning Machine Guns, and Beretta 92FS Pistols. I once engineered a spring out of a pen to replace a missing but crucial part for a machinegun utilizing other available items during combat operations while under fire. I also provided Special Forces Units with the equipment, firearms, and explosives to conduct joint operations with us in the Korengal Valley. I was held responsible for insuring all weapons were in safe operating condition while deployed overseas. I have trained hundreds of soldiers to properly use these firearms following manufactured guidelines on and off the range. I maintained all essential paperwork for these firearms while they were signed out, held work orders for calibrations, and various other logs for the unit. I designed spreadsheets and formulated a Master Armorer’s List using Microsoft Office products to assign these weapon systems to individual soldiers in the unit based off the needs and requirements of the Company Commander and the command chain. Show less I was a Designated Marksman and had the ability to use fundamental marksmanship skills while engaging in proper shooting techniques, identifying targets, judging distance, understanding of bullet ballistics and projectile trajectory. I received anti-sniper/sniper experience under the tutelage of an active duty sniper during operations along Baghdad city blocks. My sniper instructor and I conducted satellite surveillance over friendly units on the ground on top of buildings and in other structures in Dura Market, Iraq. I used my training for range estimations in Afghanistan to successfully identify and destroy enemy positions through the use of field artillery. Also I was involved in a long-range sniper vs. sniper firefight in the Kunar Province in which my very life was laid on the line, and my training and skills proved me the victor. I have trained Company Commanders on the same fundamentals I have been taught in the Long Range Marksmanship course, and they have used it to great success in training their Infantry Company and in support of their other Sniper assets. Show less I received specialized military training in firearms, explosives, weapons handling and range safety, physical conditioning, first aid, leadership, and communication. Conducted land navigation over vast terrain utilizing only a compass, terrain features, and topography maps. I am trained in combat survivability and techniques in Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT), to include Close Quarters Armed/Unarmed Hand to Hand Combat, along with Dynamic/Fluid Breach and Entry. I deployed anti-personnel mines for the security of allied troops in hostile combat zones. Successfully identified and disarmed over a 100 Improvised Explosive Devices used to target coalition forces in Iraq. Trained Iraq’s Military in proper techniques of investigating and disarming Improvised Explosive Devices and to patrol the city limits tactically and safely. This infused confidence for the Iraqi nationals to trust their own military to protect them. While in Afghanistan, as a ‘Base Mayor’ I organized and lead over 50 retrieval operations for Containerized Delivery System’s; vital supplies needed for everyday needs, most under hostile enemy engagements. I have honed my skills, leadership abilities, and my ability to make decisive decisions through two tours in combat theaters, Operation Iraqi Freedom 2007 and Operation Enduring Freedom 2009-2010. Show less I maintained an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance, managed, gathered, and reported on intelligence in the field while working as field operative with COIST. I recorded thousands of biometric imprints of individuals suspected of terrorist actions utilizing Biometric Automated Toolset (BAT) and the Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment (HIIDE), which was a biometric system that collects and compares fingerprints, iris images and facial photos. It was used to enroll, identify and track persons of interest; build digital dossiers on the individuals that include interrogation reports, biographic information, and relationships used by Homeland Security corporations. I collected photographs, statements, and other forms of intelligence used to track down terrorist groups working in and around the Dura Market and Bagdad, Iraq. I coordinated with higher-ranking military officers in implementing foreign nationals to work for the Security, Protection, and Intelligence gathering on terrorists in Iraq. I have tactically questioned suspects in the Korengal Valley, Afghanistan to gain intelligence of enemy movements and possible threats. Trained some Afghanistan Army groups to search vehicles at Traffic Control Points (TCP’s) and seize potentially harmful materials used for Improvised Explosive Devices (IED’s). Most of the work done in this position still remains classified, due to on-going operations overseas. Show less
