  Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH) and Nutrition Facilitator -Implemented a participatory framework, in partnership with UNICEF and the governments of Vanuatu and New Zealand, to improve access to water and sanitation and standardize practices for community water supply systems-Implemented a community-based needs assessment, using Participatory Analysis for Community Action (PACA), to develop and mobilize health programs with local, national, and international partners, utilizing investigative techniques and fact-finding to support the overall solution development -Directed a team of 250 participants, comprised of local chiefs, healthcare workers, school officials, and community leaders, in compiling 22 village profiles-Oversaw design and construction of three hardwood sapling nurseries that provides the community with the ability to transplant 8,000 saplings yearly to repopulate forest for timber and prevent soil erosion -Led a team of 17 nurses, rural healthcare workers, and government officials, in partnership with a national health campaign, in conducting a series of nutrition awareness workshops for 22 communities, emphasizing the importance of a healthy diet and exercise to reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases-Collaborated with local healthcare workers on a daily basis in remote, rural healthcare facilities and outreach settings, in order to cultivate community resilience and build household knowledge on topics such as malaria and other mosquito-borne illnesses, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, non-communicable diseases, and diseases caused by poor water, sanitation, and hygiene practices.-Successfully communicated with communities and partners interchangeably in English and Bislama Show less

The organization is built from the realized need in WASH development for sustainable community driven sanitation facilities and systems. Abroad Smol Haos works with local organization, community members and leader, in order to design, implement, and maintain public sanitation system.
