      PokerMapper: Awarded a 1-year planning grant of 500.000 SEK in team with scholars of the University of Milan-Bicocca and of Dalarna University. Fundigs were allocated by Svenska Spel Research Council (an independent research fund) for a project on Responsible Gambling. The research took place at the University of Milan-Bicocca and involved 46 online poker players of different poker ability.We demonstrated that executive functions performance can separate weak and strong online poker players and responsible and non-responsible players. Furthermore we found no correlations between ability to play poker and responsible gambling. We also found overlapping executive functions that characterize the profile of the strong player and the one of the responsible player. The poster of the research was presented last September in Las Vegas at the 16th annual conference of the National Center for Responsible Gaming and was awarded the Honorable Mention. Show less
