      Executive Director

From an organization of seven employees in 2000 to 90 in 2016, we increased the budget more than 25 times, expanded from one to six locations throughout LA County, and served tens of thousands of students and families. We made employee improvement a priority, and professional development in a learning corporation model expanded GAP's influence and reach. With the Board's support, my strategic plan was simple: GAP 2.0–Stabilize the organization and set its vision; GAP 3.0–build capacity and capability; GAP 4.0–professionalize the corporation, develop a deep culture, and prepare the next generation of leadership; GAP 4.5–complete a two-year transition plan for my replacement and the senior staff; and GAP 5.0–get out of the way!
