      Site Manager

I was the site manager for ten geographically separated locations with the responsibility of keeping the telecom systems working for each site. I supervised three technicians. During the time working there. We completed three fiber optic installations that had been stalled for two years. I also coordinated the major maintenance of the two work vehicles to make them safe to operate again. I also planned, researched parts, ordered parts and equipment for a fourth fiber optic installation. The fourth project was 75% completed when the contract ended and I move to another position. Telecom Engineer 1

I am currently the Telecom Engineer 1 for a small rural hospital and its 10 geographically separate sites. I have worked through the replacement of the old phone system that operated on analog, digital and VoIP with a new all VoIP system. I was responsible for extension planning, call flow mapping, call center set-up, system license selection, as well as the day-to-day operations of the system. I also manage the Vocera badge communication system and its database, a new Parlance Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) system to eliminate the frustration caused by long laundry lists of extensions to choose from. Soon you can call in and ask for a person or department to get connect. I just completed my continuing education and recertified my CompTIA Security+ Certification and have some experience on the older Cisco Catalyst network switches. I also run network infrastructure lines within the hospital for new areas that need network drops. Using Microsoft Visio I make call flow documents to help visualize the call flows easier for non-technical stake holders. And lastly I am responsible for equipment inventory of the telecommunications equipment. Show less
