  I was promoted from site engineer to project engineer and worked on two major projects including a sewage treatment plant, a desalination plant and a distribution hub/pipeline for refined oil products. I was responsible for planning and managing packages of work including utilities and underground services, roads, concrete structures, tanks, drainage systems, earthworks and deep excavation. My role included estimating, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, construction management and stakeholder/client relationship management. I led teams of subcontractors and labourer and delivered packages safely ahead of schedule, meeting precise quality standards.   Delivered high-security facility and infrastructure upgrades, responsible for managing eight out of 26 sites as part of a Security Facilities Upgrade Program. This included demolition, temporary buildings, facility shutdown and construction of new facilities with a tight deadline. I worked from initiation phase and was involved in end-to-end project management activities including scoping, budgeting, programming, procurement, construction management, safety planning and management, quality assurance and contract administration. I led teams of subcontractors and labourers and managed the resolution of technical and logistical issues. Risk management and mitigation was a critical part of this role to achieve clients contracted timelines and reduce operational risks constructing on a brownfield site in a high security location. I successfully reduced logistical costs, improved technical outcomes and met core deliverables before leaving to migrate to Australia. Show less
