      Volunteer Work

Beginning in early 2012, I began volunteer work with the Simukai Project in rural Zimbabwe. My role involves teaching English to primary school children, carrying out sports education, in addition to arts and crafts. Last summer, I assisted in the making of a well for the local children and teachers. In doing this the children were had access to clean water at school and did not have to walk for in some cases over 10 km in search of water safe to drink. Moreover, my team and I helped in building a sewing shop to create work for stay home mothers not able to travel into the city for employment. The Simukai Project continues to be an incredible project with the innovation for advancement in what is a desolate area of Zimbabwe. Show less
