      As the Benefits and Compensation Manager, I strategically managed the development and implementation of South Peninsula Hospital’s compensation and benefits program for more than 400 caregivers serving a population of 13K. In this role, I efficiently managed the coordination and execution of various projects and events including employee health/wellness. Handled workers' compensation and leave management. My key achievements include: ♦ Implementing an innovative online benefits enrollment platform that ultimately reduced department expenses and increased employee satisfaction. ♦ Partnering with an insurance carrier to implement a Medical Travel Program that would transport employees to renown medical facilities in larger geographic areas for complicated and expensive surgical procedures at a lower cost. ♦ Revising family and dependent eligibility policies to incentivize lower cost healthcare expenses for self-funded medical plan.♦ Successfully shifted defined benefit pension plan liability from employer to employee through instituting multiple defined contribution pension plans.
