From Fall of 2018 through the beginning of 2022 I served as a board member of The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles in several capacities:Secretary of the Board,November 2018 - December 31st 2019 Web Chair, January 1st 2020 - January 2022VP, Events and Programs January 1st 2021 - January 2022During my time with the organization I worked diligently to further our the philanthropic efforts and pushed for accessibility and community building in the arts. Some key accomplishments during my tenure: - Oversaw an organization wide rebranding effort in collaboration with design firm BBbabble that included a new website and media kit.- Organized regularly occurring community building events in person during from late 2018 through early 2020 - Held and organized several key note conversations and workshops with industry professionals. Through these events we had more than 300 attendees. - Voted forward and co-signed the organizations opening of an investment portfolio alongside Treasurer Jon Messer. - Pushed a key initiative to further equity and accessibility by removing online exhibition fees from our contests. This was a critical problem to solve. We found that students and young-professionals would often win awards in our competitions but couldn't afford the cost to exhibit. In identifying this problem we determined as a board that this fee was outdated and we voted a resolution to repeal the policy. My time with this organization was transformative and beyond educational. It's solidified my desire to serve as an educator and gave me the space to build my confidence and abilities as a community advocate and leader in the arts. Show less

      Sept 2019 - Oct 2020

Your Daily Horoscope, Season 1 (Quibi) In late 2019 I joined ATTN: as the Lead Visual Development Artist for the Your Daily Horoscope pilot. During development I worked with the production team at ATTN: to hire key artists and animators to begin taking the concepts from pitch to production ready. The pilot episodes proved to be succesfful and upon being greenlit by Quibi I was promoted to Art Director to manage the pre-production art teams. During this time we also made a rapid transition to a remote work pipeline due to the COVID19. Without missing a beat, show leadership and I developed our remote work flow and created a process to manage nearly three dozen artists. Due to the small size of the series Production team I was also tasked with taking on responsibilities in hiring, interviewing, writing budget proposals and creating production trackers and maintaining a production calendar.Quibi also presented us with several additional challenges. We had a tremendous volume of work to generate on a day to day basis. We needed to make 60 roughly 2 minute episodes per week. We also needed to create each episode in both a Horizontal and Vertical format. This production became an absolute testing ground for making quick and effective decisions as a Director and gave us a plethora of opportunities to explore complex problem solving.
