Model various components of active distribution systems such as DERs and loads into service restoration problem and considering cold load pickup phenomenon of loads such as HVACs on restoration procedure.3. Develop a software platform on python and OpenDSS and formulate a distributed optimization framework for service restoration problem as a mixed-integer convex programming for any extremely-large networks.4. Develop and formulate a distributed framework for integrated transmission and distribution systems restoration based on ADMM.5. Study impact of high PV penetration on distribution networks and apply and implement control methods to mitigate these impacts such as voltage deviations. Show less
