  Acquired conservation land to create corridors and facilitate wildlife species movement. Specifically the LIP program focused on high quality fen areas as well as converting fallow farm land back into native prairies. Create propagation fields of native warm season grasses for the purpose of converting fallow farm land into native prairies. The Private Lands Office also assisted the Michigan Natural Features Inventory (MNFI) in collecting seed from remnant prairies throughout southern Michigan. The Private Lands Office works in cooperation with the Natural Resource Conservation Service Plant Materials Center (NRCS PMC) to provide native seed to the public.

  Collected samples from the upper and lower Michigan for avian influenza testing. Collected, submitted, and compiled the collected data in a geodatabase and used ArcGIS to thematically display data. Also Performed BASH biologist duties on Detroit Metro Airport hazing and trapping birds within the flight path. Also assisted with Coyote tapping within the Airport.
