As Editor-in-Chief, I managed a team of editors, writers, layout staff and photographers to create a weekly 8-page newspaper. Each week I put together a list of 4-5 news stories, 3 features stories, 2-3 sports stories, 2 perspectives pieces, 3 funnies pieces and 2 arts stories. Throughout the week I coordinated with the photo editor on the photos needed for each story. Each week I wrote a 500 word editorial reflecting on a particular part of the content of the newspaper. I edited each article and once the layout staff finished their pages I edited those as well."Your conscientiousness will take you far in this world, including along the professional track. If there is one quality more than any other that matters in the workplace, I would say it's conscientiousness, or the desire to do work well and thoroughly and through to the end." —Duane Stoltzfus, faculty advisor of The Record Show less
