The company was engaged in Manufacturing Vitamin enriched feed for the Cattle business as well as Janitorial products to include soaps, detergents and anticeptic cleaning products. The company was established by my Great Grandfather , William David Carpenter in Chicago in 1872. W.D. Carpenter Co. was a sucessor to the Thorley Feed Company ( originally founded in England) . W.D was relocated to Syracuse in the early 20th Century. My Grandfather Roy W. and Father John S. were successors as Presidents and various family members were employed and the Stock was closely held by the Family. The company was sold in 1985. Show less

OnBank acquired Merchants Bank in 1993 and changed it's Charter to a Commercial Bank; OnBank & Trust Co.
