Show less This role represented a career transition for me, moving from automotive product development to delivering power grid software and services. A lot of emphasis was placed on domain-level technical applications.In collaboration with our customer, Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA), I was able to achieve the following accomplishments:Delivery of software services for the National Control Center (NCC) and Distribution Control Center (DCC) of Qatar.Implementation of EMS and DMS following the ES-M4 Qatar Transmission Grid Code.Modelling of SCADA and power system databases, and tuning of power applications.Design and modelling of SCADA I/O for the Qatar grid expansion, for control centers.Building of geographic SCADA and network databases, UI testing, and commissioning of new substations.Liaison with stakeholders, including the client, consultant, and substation-side contractors.Software technologies utilized included:Database and UI building: DBB, FG BuilderSource code manager: VSSGE products: Habitat 5.6 and 5.8, EMP 2.3, DMP 2.6EMS Applications: SCADA, Network, and DTS applicationsKey accomplishments included:Aligning and implementing a procedure and tracking system for the power system database build and application tuning.Providing technical support for project closeout for past projects, in liaison with all stakeholders.
