  I currently serve approximately 85 students and families along with teachers in K-5th grade at David L. Rainer Elementary and Kingsland Elementary School. My passion is to create interdisciplinary units and STEM units for students where students take ownership of their learning through creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication. I, with the collaboration of the Gifted team, create differentiation units and activities, administrator assessments, partner with community stakeholders, and plan field experiences. In addition to serving at Gifted Education Teacher, I am also the advisor for David L. Rainer's Safety Patrol and Bricks 4 Kid Afterschool Club. My passions include providing student leadership and STEM opportunities for students, building teacher and student capacity to improve student achievement. As a teacher, I took pride in creating differentiated units in all subject areas, planning with the grade level team, and building teacher and student capacity. I served as chair of the following committees: Black History and ELA School Based Budget. I was a member of the PBIS Team, School Council, and Leadership Team.
