      I set up this research project in 2008 and show allotment and blog http://worldwarzoogardener1939.wordpress.com in 2009 (ongoing) at Newquay Zoo into how zoos & botanic gardens survived the challenges of wartime, what we can learn from this and how it links to sustainability today. Currenttly working on schools resources and wartime diary editing. I work as Education Manager, leading a small team of teachers / presenters / education officers on schools workshops, FE college teaching and talks to zoo visitors and community groups. I also hoad the zoo archive for future use.

      I sit or have sat on behalf of the zoo staff on the Programme Advisory Committee, Employers Forum and lately on the Cornwall College Newquay Council / Science and Natural Environment Cluster Council supporting the work of zoo & college together, looking at employability skills .
