  I supported clinician researchers working at a 316-bed rehabilitation and complex continuing care hospital on two research projects. In this role, I conducted literature reviews, wrote ethics proposals, coordinated meetings, and performed data retrieval and chart reviews to support research teams resulting in two published, peer reviewed papers (2014, 2015). I also presented a poster at the Ontario Lung Association Better Breathing Conference (2012). Following my placement, I maintained contact with both multi-disciplinary teams to complete projects.   In this role, I initiated the development of a holistic health promotion program by researching the concept of holistic health as it relates to LGBTQ* youth. I evaluated existing programs, reviewed literature, and proposed recommendations for camp programs in a concise and reader-friendly report. I also wrote a teaching case accepted for publication in the Western Case Book to outline some of the health promotion challenges faced by Camp fYrefly. My role entails leasing with the camp director, current practicum students, and other stakeholders to support camp planning. I assist with fundraising, communications, and organization when required.
